Edinburgh Direct Aid

Edinburgh Direct Aid is one of our most respected partners: an organization that has worked in charity for several decades. They have worked in Palestine, in the Gaza Strip, in Lebanon, in Beirut - in every hot spot that existed even before the war in Ukraine.

It is a small organization from Edinburgh. We met their representative at the end of 2023, and they immediately joined in supporting our work as far as they could.

We have worked and keep working with them on humanitarian aid for the population - targeted help with the most essential things, where it was needed. They helped set up the bakery and bought part of its equipment. They took part in the medical direction: partly funding an ambulance, as well as medicines, first-aid kits and more.

It is worth noting: their head is 97 years old today, soon to be 98 - and he still leads the organization. The volunteer we work with is 75. We deeply respect them and their age: at a time of life when people are usually retired, they find the strength and the means to help people however they can. That means a great deal.
