Why we do what we do

Ever since childhood, people who did good deeds - especially in secret, without any show - filled me with wild admiration and a wish to be like them. The film "Timur and His Squad" comes to mind right away.

In the cartoon "A Parcel for the Weakest," I wanted to be that lion.

I suppose all of that, to some extent, shaped my choice of profession.

And now, seeing gratitude on the face of a recovered animal - that's worth so much.
